Distance Education Workshop
ACCSCT’s scope of recognition includes the accreditation of post-secondary career schools and colleges that offer programs via distance education.
Distance education, as defined by the Commission, is a formal process in which the majority of instruction within a course or program occurs when the student and instructor are not in the same location. Distance education employs telecommunication or other technologies for the delivery of instruction, and may be synchronous or asynchronous in nature. Schools offering programs or courses of study via distance education must adhere to, and are responsible for demonstrating compliance with the Standards of Accreditation.
More information on ACCSCT's next Distance Education Workshop is forthcoming.
