Student Corner Overview
ACCSCT strives to assure that accredited institutions achieve an established level of accomplishment on behalf of their students and graduates. As an accrediting agency, ACCSCT is responsible for assuring that its member institutions and their educational program offerings are capable of preparing students for their chosen careers. The accrediting process also assures students and the public that high standards of career education are being met. But ACCSCT does more than accredit institutions.
ACCSCT provides leadership by stimulating and assisting schools and colleges in keeping abreast of employment trends, technological advances and educational innovations. ACCSCT member institutions strive toward assuring responsiveness, continued growth, competitiveness, and the ability to give career school students an edge in the labor market.
ACCSCT accredited schools teach hundreds of thousands of students every year in post-secondary career orientated fields that are designed to lead to successful employment. At ACCSCT accredited schools, students learn the skills and careers that touch the daily lives of all citizens.

On May 9, 2008, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) learned that Caliber Training Institute (CTI), an ACCSCT-accredited institution located in New York, New York has closed.
As the institutional accrediting body for CTI, ACCSCT reiterates today its commitment to the students impacted by this closure and will provide
information to CTI students in order to help them successfully complete their education at an accredited institution that offers comparable programs. As part of our efforts in this regard, ACCSCT will partner with other accrediting organizations and other career colleges located in the metropolitan New York City area in order assure that students have every opportunity to complete their training.
Accordingly, ACCSCT has created an information packet for students which identifies the designated point of contact at ACCSCT, the state of New York Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision, and the U.S. Department of Education. Additionally, this document includes a list of accredited institutions based in the metropolitan New York City area that offer programs that are comparable to those that had been offered at CTI.
Students may also contact Bettina Falwell, Manager of Institutional Compliance with ACCSCT directly at (703)247-4538 to explore the options that are available for students interested in continuing their education.
